IMPLEMENTATION DESCRIPTION

In the process of reconstructing the sewer manhole of a catering facility in Kyiv, on Bazhana Avenue (McDonald’s), ABETON implemented a modern technical solution – an IDA Plast sewer manhole with an intermediate platform lined with anchor polyethylene.

The diameter of the well is 2000 mm, and its total height is 4.5 m. Due to the considerable depth of the structure and the aggressive environment of domestic wastewater, the project required special technical solutions to ensure durability and safe operation.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

✔ Corrosion protection – the inner surface of the well is lined with anchor polyethylene, which is resistant to aggressive environments.

✔ Tightness of the well – due to the sealed seam connection and extruder welding of polyethylene, the possibility of exfiltration of wastewater into the soil is excluded, which ensures environmental safety of operation and durability.

✔ Safety of service personnel – due to the high height of the well, an intermediate platform is provided, which allows for safe maintenance and repair work.

✔ Easy access to the collector – a floor slab with two holes is provided for the possibility of lowering personnel and installing equipment in the span to the collector tray.

SUCCESSFUL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

The project required coordination of technical solutions with the operating body Kyivvodokanal, as it was critical to ensure the tightness and resistance of the structure to prolonged exposure to the aggressive environment of domestic wastewater. ABETON specialists successfully coped with all the tasks and the installation of the well was completed in the shortest possible time, which ensured uninterrupted work of the contractors and the customer.
