In Kyiv, work is underway to reconstruct the city’s storm sewer network near the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Replacement of rainwater drainage began in May 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by 2021.

In Kyiv, work is underway to reconstruct the city’s storm sewer network near the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Replacement of rainwater drainage began in May 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by 2021.

The project envisages the construction of 30% of the reservoir by microtunneling due to difficult hydrogeological conditions. As in some places artificial water lowering and freezing of soils is impossible. The other part of the project involves the passage of the shield, gallery and open methods. The total length of the collector will be 700 meters.

ABETON has become a reliable supplier of reinforced concrete products for this project. The object was provided with tunnel fastenings, tubing, mine fastenings. Products with high quality and reliability will last for many years. And the technology of trenchless laying of pipes will not create obstacles for traffic.

Elements of mine fastening ABETON are intended for the arrangement of prefabricated inspection wells, mine shafts, sewage pumping stations and tanks from 4 to 50 m. The structures are designed for soil pressure at a depth of 20 m and a pressure of 5 atm.

Tubing is used for the construction of large-diameter sewers, culverts under highways and railways and tunnels for public use by panel board. Tubing is also used to build mine shafts. In the construction of collectors, the tubing acts as an outer shell, the inner shell is a thin-walled pipe.

Gallery fasteners are a reinforced concrete structure designed to be installed in underground tunnels, to prevent collapses and to preserve the appearance of tunnels. The fastening consists of an upper bar (BV), a lower bar (BN) and side bars (BB) with reinforcement. Fasteners are durable, withstand heavy loads and have high corrosion resistance.
