Separator of oil products with coalescent module
Separator of oil products with coalescent module
Coalescent oil separator ABETON is designed for purification of petroleum products (mineral oils, gasoline, light lubricants) and suspended solids contained in sewage from precipitation. In the general case, the process occurs due to the difference in density (density) between petroleum products and water (petroleum products rise to the surface and are separated from wastewater).
The separator of oil products can be presented in two variants: as a separator of the first class 1 (coalescence separator) and the second class 2 (gravimetric separator) in denominations (nominal size of liters per second l / s) 3 – 50.
Coalescent separator – Class 1
Class 1 separators are made of concrete and have a residual concentration of petroleum products below 5 mg / l, according to tests.
Gravimetric separator – Class 2
The gravimetric separator is used as a safety system for areas where spills may occur, as well as for the treatment of surface water from limited areas. Class 2 separators are made of concrete and have a residual concentration of petroleum products below 100 mg / l, according to tests.
Features of a design
Separators come with a conical neck or top plate with a lid marked “Separator”. They have a rigid construction – designed to withstand loads.
Settling tank
Settling tanks should always be placed in front of the separators. They are used for pre – treatment of wastewater from suspended solids (dust, sand, silt and
other). In the settling tank, the water slows down, and the suspended particles settle to the bottom of the settling tank.
The principle of operation of the separator
Sewage after the settling tank through the inlet tube with a deflector screen, enters the separator, where their speed decreases. Large particles of petroleum products rise to the surface, and small ones fall into the coalescent filter. On its surface, the layer of small particles gradually increases to a certain size, which allows the particles to break away from the filter and float to the surface.
Purified water, through the outlet pipe enters further into the sewer. The shut-off valve is equipped with a float, which is located on the border of the layer of petroleum products and water. When the layer of petroleum products increases the pain of the allowable value, the float sinks and blocks the outlet.
Alarms
The oil separator system must be equipped with an alarm that warns of the maximum thickness of the oil layer, high water levels or precipitated particles. The NS 3 l / s coalescent separator has an integrated (built-in) alarm and sampling point for analysis and a settling tank in front.
Sampling
The separator must be arranged for sampling for wastewater analysis.
The coalescence device must be thoroughly cleaned regularly. The frequency of cleaning depends on the characteristics of the area where the separator
used.
• The coalescence device is lifted and washed without the use of a high pressure washer.
• The shut-off valves are cleaned and the sediment is removed.
• The separator is flushed and emptied.
• Fill the container with clean water before installing the shut-off valve.
The separator consists of:
• 1. The bottom of the separator
• 2. The ring
• 3. Separator housing
• 4. Inlet flow (inlet pipe with deflector)
• 5. Tripod for valve connection
• 6. Shut-off valve
• 7. Coalescent filter
• 8. The level of petroleum products
• 9. Tube d 110 with sampling compartment (optional)
